About admission procedure

Please prepare the necessary documents listed below and come to the Admissions Information Desk on the first floor. Of course, those who just want to hear an explanation are also welcome!
*When you apply, a vision test will be conducted, so please make sure to come in person.

Driver’s License

If you have one, please bring it with you.

Glasses or contact lenses

Please bring your own eye examination if necessary.

Resident card

  • Permanent Address(For foreign nationals, nationality, period of stay, residence status, etc.)DescriptionIt must have been obtained within the last three months and must not include your personal identification number (My Number).
  • If you have a driver's license, you do not need to bring a residence certificate.
  • Even if you have a driver's license, if you have forgotten the pin number for your IC license, please bring your resident registration card. (However, this is not necessary for those enrolling in the Motorcycle Course or Class 2 Course.)

*You can pay the tuition fee on the day of application or at a later date. Please pay the full amount at least one week before the enrollment date. Payment can be made in cash or by loan. If you would like to pay in installments, please consult with our staff.

ID photo (3cm x 2.4cm)

Please prepare photos taken within the last six months, without a hat, with a plain background, and facing forward. Four photos are required for the standard vehicle and semi-medium-sized vehicle courses, and three for the motorcycle course. Photos can also be taken at our school for a fee.

Identification documents

Student ID, insurance card, alien registration card, health insurance card (health insurance card), resident registration card, passport, license, permit or qualification certificate issued by a government agency in accordance with laws and regulations (pharmacist license, etc.). However, if you have a driver's license, no other identification is required.

Admission qualifications

age

You can start lessons approximately one month before your birthday. For standard cars, you must be 18 years of age or older, for standard motorcycles, you must be 16 years of age or older, and for large motorcycles, you must be 18 years of age or older.

Color identification

Ability to distinguish between blue, red and yellow.

vision

A visual acuity of 0.3 or higher in one eye and 0.7 or higher in both eyes is required.
If your naked eyes do not meet the criteria, please bring glasses or contact lenses (for medium-sized vision, a minimum of 0.5 in one eye and 0.8 in both eyes is required, and a depth perception test will also be conducted).
Please note that night-wearing vision corrective contact lenses (orthokeratology lenses) may not be permitted for driving under the Road Traffic Act.

Other Information

Those who have no physical defects that make them significantly unsuitable for driving a car. Those with physical disabilities or past or present illnesses may be required to undergo a fitness consultation with the Public Safety Commission in advance.

The process for admission

Department/skill training
(First stage)

In theory lessons, students learn about traffic rules and the structure of cars, while in practical lessons, students acquire driving skills by actually driving a car on the driving school course.

Obtaining a provisional license

If you pass both the final test (practice test) and the provisional license written test, you will be able to obtain a provisional license.

The second stage of theory training is more specialized, and practical training involves driving on actual roads.

Graduation Examination

The final test that tests your driving skills is the graduation test (practice test). If you pass this test and graduate from Yaenosato Driving School, you will be exempt from the practical test in the main exam, so all that remains is the written test in the main exam.
